The greatest blessings and giggles.

I cant begin to explain what a joy and blessing my children are.  With each day there are few tough moments but nothing can bring more happiness and giggles than seeing what these two acts come up with.  They keep me on my toes with questions and funny things to do.  They challenge me to be patient, loving and more creative.  Jacquelyn found  a new way to use her Ukulele as a violin and stomped around the house with many new tunes.

Leo is a thinker, he is like a little Chris walking around, figuring things out on his own and always thinking about others! In fact sometimes I find myself needing to rethink my own actions based on a question Leo has for me.  "How do we shine God's light?"  "How will I know if God wants me to go to college?" "Why this, why that way....?"  Our conversations are always interesting!
He came up with this creative way to maximize his time relaxing in the sun : )

"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward."
Psalms 127:3

My Little Man, My Helper

This picture was taken at the 2013 Christian Heritage Homeschool and Family Discipleship Conference.  We are so thrilled to be a part of this event every year!  I take the joyful duty of assisting my husband with his piano ministry.  It is great to meet new people, young piano students and encourage others with music.  My job is mainly to sell my husbands CDs.  Usually I would do this all on my own, but last year I had very special help!
My little man was able to join us for one day at the conference.  He eagerly greeted people and stood outside our booth.  He was excellant at taking inventory and making sure the table stayed full of CDs.  I am so blessed to be given the opportunity to raise a young man.  What a great task and joy it is!  My little man keeps me on my toes and reminds of how important it is to know God's word inside and out.  I pray that one day he will be a man of God just like his father : )

Foggy mornings

You know its fall when you wake up to a white cloud outside your window!  I so love a good crisp fall morning walk.  With two munchkins in the house I don't get out on a walk as often as I like. But when I do I enjoy it very much!  Here are some things that I delight about a good morning walk.
  1. It sets the pace for your day...ready, set go!
  2. Clears your mind
  3. Makes you not feel guilty about exercising the rest of the day : )
  4. Allows you to start the day in prayer without distractions.
  5. Its great for your complexion.

Sweet Baby Surprise

9 months pregnant, on my due date I went to see my midwife at Lakeside Birth Center. She decided it was a good night to have a baby. First Chris and I enjoyed a nice evening eating dinner at romantic Italian restaurant and then did some shopping at Target.
We came back to the birth center.....
A few hours late into the night...
Our blessing of a baby surprise(we didn't know what gender) was born!

It's A Girl!!!!!

Just minutes after she was born...can't believe I have my own little princess!

Fall, Pumpkins, and Thanks!

Mmm...the smell of fresh baked pumpkin bread! The changing of seasons is always so exciting and I love seeing God's creation in a new way.  How creative of him to make four seasons where we can see the beauty of His works in different ways.  Fall has its beauty in colorful yellow and red leaves, crisp fresh air, whimsical windy days, and of course RAIN! I was so happy to see the rain this year as it turned my grass from summer brown to lush green : )
As I was decorating for fall I found a sign I bought on clearance last year.  It has a big wooden pumpkin on it and says "Give Thanks".  At first I was not going to put it up thinking that November 24 was too far away.  Then I thought how really we should have an attitude of Thanksgiving all the time.  This year I want to make a tradition of fall being a season of thanksgiving and not just one day!

Psalm 75:1 "We give thanks to You O God, we give thanks; For Your wonderous works declare that Your name is near."

Mother Daughter Retreat

Coming this October 14 & 15...my mother and I will be speaking at Camp Gilead's Mother Daughter Retreat.  I am so thrilled about this oppertunity to encourage daughters! I admire my mother for her wisdom and ability to communicate God's truth to other women.  For many years I have gone with her to different speaking engagments so it will be neat to speak along side her.  Look at the brouchure to find more information about what the retreat will be like.
