Classic Winter Wreath

Using some inexpensive supplies I whipped together this wreath in about 45 minutes.  You can mix it up with different colors or ribbon.  For spring it would be fun to do hot pink felt flowers with a bright green gingham bow.  You could even do flowers all the way around the wreath.

What you will need: 1 wicker wreath( I bought mine at the dollor store)
1 felt sheet
1 spool of your favorite ribbon
1/8 yard of burlap or linen cloth
hot mini glue gun (walmart $2.67)
some beads

Start by gluing your felt roses together.  Simply cut a felt circle into a spiral. More tips how to do that here.  http://www.simplysalvage.com/felt-rosette-tutorial/

I cut out felt leafs in the same color as my black rosettes.  Take the burlap fabric and make rosettes as well.  Simply cut a long strip 1 inch wide and twist and wrap it around its self like you do for the felt flowers.  Hot glue as you go.  To secure take a round of felt and rosette to it.

Wrap burlap around wreath and glue in place.  I added some moss for texture but you dont have to.  Start gluing your roses to the wreath.

Pick out your favorite ribbon and cut 2 foot piece

Tie double knot or glue knot in place.
After putting bow on continue to add more rosettes to fill in the spaces around the bow.
Glue some beads into the center of various rosettes for extra sparkle.

Here it is welcoming guests to my home : )

Homemade Granola: A friend of my had a baby and I wanted to take her a meal, but she lives several hours away.  Instead I made her cranberry coconut granola becuase it would travel easily and she could take it home with her.
I mixed all the ingredients together and slowly baked them for 2 hours.

Then I found an old container to put the granola in.

Took some left over fabric and cut a large circle for to cover the lid.
I tied a pink bow around it and personalized with a sharpie : )
